Meet in person, in public
Meet during daylight in a busy place — a gas station, bank lobby or police station car park. Bring a friend for valuable items.
Never pay before you see it
Don't send deposits, Western Union / MoneyGram transfers, crypto or gift cards to "hold" an item. TropicDeal never asks for payment.
Watch for red flags
Prices far below market, sellers who are "abroad" or "on a ship", pressure to decide fast, or requests to move off WhatsApp to email.
Verify papers
For vehicles, check the registration and that the seller's ID matches. For property or rentals, view in person and confirm ownership before paying anything.
Protect your privacy
Your email is never shown. Only share the WhatsApp number you choose. Never share bank logins or one-time codes.
Report suspicious ads
Use "Report this listing" on any ad. Listings with several reports are hidden automatically until a moderator reviews them.
Not allowed on TropicDeal
Weapons and ammunition, drugs, protected wildlife and coral, counterfeit goods, stolen items, adult services, and anything illegal in Belize. Such ads are removed.
